About Bailey
Bailey Hughes is a contemporary artist and designer living and working in Mississippi. Her bold, colorful work examines themes of materiality, place and religion. Her mixed media body of work has been in development since her graduation from Belhaven University in 2018, where she received her BFA. Bailey is a recipient of the 2023 Visual Arts Fellowship, one of the most competitive financial awards made available by The Mississippi Arts Commission and The National Endowment for the Arts. She is currently a home decor designer for Kalalou in addition to maintaining a thriving studio process.
